Who operates it
Tacet operates the connector and the scoring service behind it. It is the same service that powers the Tacet portal, reached through a different door.
Sign-in
You sign in with your Tacet account through Clerk, the identity provider the Tacet portal uses. Claude receives an access token for your account and store; the connector verifies that token on every request and never sees your password. Tokens expire and are renewed by Claude; you can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the connector in Claude or signing out of Tacet.
What the connector reads
- Store-level scores and aggregates: Forward CLV, cohorts, returns, growth levers, payback curves, reorder timing, product value, data status.
- Customer-level scores, identified by customer id. Email addresses are included only when the question explicitly asks for them.
- Only the store attached to the account you signed in with. Requests are answered for that store and no other.
The connector is read-only. It cannot create, change or delete anything in Shopify, Klaviyo, your returns platform or Tacet.
What the connector keeps
Nothing from the answers. Responses are returned to Claude and not stored by the connector. The connector writes an operational log line per request holding the tool name, your organization id, the kind of credential used, the outcome, and how long the request took. Those logs live in Google Cloud Logging under Tacet's account and are kept for thirty days. No question text and no customer data is logged.
What happens to answers inside Claude
Once an answer reaches Claude it is handled under Anthropic's terms and your Claude account's settings, including whatever conversation retention applies there. Tacet does not receive your conversation.
Who else is involved
- Google Cloud hosts the connector and the scoring service.
- Clerk provides sign-in and issues the tokens.
- Anthropic operates Claude, which sends the requests on your behalf.
Tacet does not sell data, does not use connector traffic to train models, and does not share store data with anyone beyond the providers above.
Limits
Each store may make 60 requests a minute and 2,000 a day through the connector. Beyond that, requests are refused with a retry time rather than queued.
